Prodigy Disc is proud to partner with the Federacion Puertorriquena De Disc Golf (FPDG) in helping bring an all-new championship caliber course to Puerto Rico. Ceiba Disc Golf Course joins Playa Lucia Disc Golf Course as the second 18-hole offering on the Island and third in Puerto Rico. It's placed perfectly as a compliment to Playa Lucia, with both courses located within an hour, and the new course projected to be almost double the size. Each course brings its unique challenges and will serve as great options for players of all skill levels.

Playa Lucia DGC has hosted several sanctioned PDGA tournaments in recent years, most recently the Playa Lucia Open 2024 in December. The tournament featured Prodigy team members Luke Humphries, Idris Garcia, and Juan Pablo Lopez; Humphries won in a playoff. With the addition of Ceiba DGC, the goal of expanding the disc golf selection and access to anyone on the island is now possible, making the future of disc golf on the island as bright as ever.

Designed by Patrick O'Neill, Kevin Colon, and Brittany Hertle, the Ceiba course repurposes about 50 acres of the 50,000+ acre Caribbean Ability Park. The property will soon be home to this 8,500+ ft disc golf course, which leverages the diverse array of trees, elevation, and distance to offer a style of course not yet available on the island. This new venue will also feature a driving range and, eventually, a brick-and-mortar store.

Prodigy is thrilled to play a pivotal role in bringing Ceiba DGC to life, as the course will feature 18 Prodigy T2 Professional Disc Golf targets. We will also offer a limited release of a special edition run of Puerto Rico fundraiser discs, which will help raise funds for clinics and future investments in the course. These special edition PA-5’s in 500 Glow and 500 Ultra Soft Glow will feature the Coquí frog, a cherished part of the wildlife native to Puerto Rico.

Thanks to the efforts of O'Neill, Colon, Hertle, and Prodigy team member Juan Pablo Lopez, the course will be ready for tournament and casual play as soon as April 27th with a Prodigy Birdie Derby.
