An Update from Prodigy - Q3 2025

Fall is on the doorstep and here at Prodigy, that just means the excitement continues. 2025 has been an incredible year for us. We've taken huge strides as the season has progressed in pushing the limits of what we can make and provide to players - and the best is yet to come. Here's a little review and preview of what we've been up to.
Keep it 100
Introducing 100 Plastic from Prodigy Disc. It's the answer for the incoming generation of disc golfers, giving them the tools to play the game right away with discs they can throw without compromising quality, reliability, or affordability.
We named this 100 Plastic because it's designed to cover all the bases for a beginner, getting them to 100% of what they need to start playing today. As a base plastic blend, 100 Plastic boasts a tacky yet stiff feel, providing players with a reliable option to throw confidently from the start. Designed with lightweight flight in mind, no disc in this plastic will weigh over 160 grams, making any mold made from it an instant lightweight go-to for fans of lightweight discs as well.

We're launching this new blend in three molds that we always recommend to new players: the PA-5, M4, and F9. These are paired with a new set of stamps that teach new players what disc they have in hand. Pick up all three molds on September 25!
Aesthetically Pleasing.
Here in Dalton, we've been hard at work on bringing some of our best plastic to you. We went to work to optimize two of our aesthetic offerings over the last year, asking the question "how can this be better?" and finding the answers. The results are improvements to our Glow and Glimmer offerings.
Glow: Our Glow has not been good enough; we have known this was a blind spot, and we wanted to make a push to do better. This new material holds a charge up to 4X better than our original, giving players a longer-lasting shine during glow rounds. We aren't done exploring and making this better to develop an "Ultra Glow" in the future, but we do see a dramatic improvement in how our glow discs look in the light and at night - we think you will too.
We rolled out our reformulated glow with the launch of the Lunar Soul FX-4 750 Glow, Sakura PA-3 750 Glow, Faylor Lake Feedback 400 Glow, and more over the last couple of months - check it out!
Glimmer: We also went to work on our Glimmer, which now boasts a clearer sparkle, allowing any color to appear more vivid and bright. We have launched several discs with this updated look, including the Sunrise Circuit Feedback 750 Glimmer.
At last, the M5.
The wait is almost over. We're excited to bring you our newest disc, the M5 Midrange, this November. This long-awaited disc is an all-new understable midrange, replacing the original M5, which was first introduced in 2014.
We've sent out some samples to select folks, and the feedback so far has been electric. The goal is to bring you a disc that can be thrown on a hyzer and flip to flat with a glidey turn at the end of the flight. It adds a new dimension of shots to our M-Series lineup. Early reviews suggest this does just that. Check out a few previews from Core Team member Matt Hammersten, IceBerg TV, and Core Team members Harper Thompson and Brandon Brown.

The M5 will be available on prodigydisc.com and at local retailers during Black Friday. We'll have it available in 400 Plastic, 500 Plastic, 400 Glow, and 750 Glimmer. We'll have much more to share as we get closer to the release of this exciting new mold!
Bird Is The Word
The sophomore campaign for The Birdie Derby has been incredible! The ready-to-run tournament from Prodigy Disc uses three exclusive discs:
- FX-4 400 Glimmer
- MX-3 400 Plastic
- PA-4 300 Soft Fractal
It's intended to be an easy entry for those new to disc golf. Still, we're intentional in picking discs that experienced players looking for some casual competition and to try new plastic will also enjoy.

This year, East Georgia State College put on a derby in Swainsboro, Georgia, and it was nothing short of a hit! Tournament Director Desmal Purcell followed up with us to recap on how the event went:
"We had an amazing Birdie Derby tournament today. Thank you and your team for all of the help in making this happen. We had a wide range of players (the youngest being in 5th grade, up to a couple of retirees, and everyone in between), and everyone had an absolute blast. The discs were a hit. Every player I spoke with fell in love with the putter in the players' pack."
The tournament took players through 18 holes of woods and water, making for a challenging but fun day. The event also featured a long drive contest, follow-up fun rounds at a 9-hole course nearby, and a food truck for folks to grab some snacks after their round.
That's the Birdie Derby in a nutshell: fun times with your local community. We've helped supply hundreds of these events since the program's inception last year - we'd love to help you do the same! Sign up here.
