I switched to Pa-3s at the beginning of this year (both for putting and throwing), and have been hunting down the perfect plastic for my putting putters. I snagged my first set of Pa-3s about a year ago in 300 plastic (black) and loved the profile. They were board flat and firm, and this probably affected my preference.
When I decided to commit to the Pa-3, I grabbed some more 300s (white) but they didn't quite hit the same. They were a bit less firm and also less flat St.ill great putters, but not exactly what I wanted. I got some 300 Firms (white), but they were similar to the 300s in profile. To be clear, the difference is almost negligible but I can feel it in my hand.
So I got some 300 Fractals and found a winner. They were firm for 300 plastic and board flat. The issue is, as the 300 plastic beats in, it gets softer. I place the first knuckle of my index finger into the bottom of the bead, and after a while couldn't get the pressure I wanted to know I was going to get a clean release on my putts.
So I was crossing my fingers that the 300 Firm Fractals would be my Goldilocks plastic, and it is. These are board flat and exactly the stiffness that I want. Super happy with these!
The nice thing about throwing the same putter you putt with is that I now have a stash of throwers I can cycle.
Shout out to the Prodigy warehouse team for hooking me up with some beauts in the exact weight I asked for!
