An Update from Prodigy - Q1 2025

Prodigy Presents WACO 2025 Releases
As the Waco Annual Charity Open approaches, Prodigy is proud to bring you two releases ahead of the event with an array of unique discs fit for the iconic tour event.
Starting February 11, Prodigy, along with retail partners Disc Golf Shopping, 1010 Discs, OTB Discs, Disc Store, Bomb Discs, and Gotta Go Gotta Throw is launching a set of three unique discs for pre-order. These limited-edition fundraiser discs will support the 2025 operations of the event, including the pro and am tournaments. Each dealer who partners with us will also receive an enhanced presence on-site and during the tournament broadcast.
Coming March 6, we're bringing back the Waco Midrange. This straight-shooting midrange debuted at the Prodigy Presents WACO Disc Golf Pro Tour event in 2024 as an exclusive release to the eponymous DGPT tournament.
This release also features the rollout of 300 Ultra Soft, a super flexible and grippy base plastic unlike anything seen on the market. Here's a deeper dive into these special releases:
February 11th: The Return of 400G and the Debut of 300 Ultra Soft
400G Plastic is the traditional 400 Plastic but with a shot of adrenaline. The additive also makes the disc more durable and requires more time to break in. Due to production limitations such as cost and access, we took this blend out of regular production in 2020 with the goal of bringing it back. So, after a four-year hiatus, we're thrilled to announce that we're bringing back 400G in select limited-edition runs for now.
As time has passed, we've seen how popular this blend is with collectors and players alike. Some of the materials we use in the blend have been sampled in limited ways to help make certain discs come out at a higher quality, but this is the first time in four years we've revisited the true version of the original blend. Our team is discussing the future of 400G as a plastic in our lineup and how it can be brought back into regular production. This could include adjustments to how it's priced and how it's named so it better fits into our naming system.

Last year, Prodigy Club members got their hands on the return of the blend with the Final Run of the original M5 mold. A few weeks ago, Prodigy retail customers got a chance to get the blend back in their bag with the limited edition release of the A4 in 400G Glow plastic in collaboration with YouTuber Broderic. And now, we're bringing 400G out for this limited edition Waco drop with the FX-4 Fairway Driver and M4 Midrange Disc with all-new stamps.
We didn't stop with the exclusives, as this release also features part one of our 300 Ultra Soft plastic rollout, with the PA-3 in 300 Ultra Soft Fractal with the largest Rippit stamp we've ever made! Following the launch of 400 and 500 Ultra Soft, we dared to ask, "can we do this with 300 Plastic?" Yes, yes we can. 300 Ultra Soft, like its premium counterparts, takes the original blend and pushes it to the limits. This plastic is some of the softest, grippiest plastic on the market, with well over 50% more flex in the hand. With the colorful bursts of Fractal and the addition of our favorite frog, we saw no better way to bring this new blend to market for the first time.

March 6th: The Waco Midrange Returns and more 300 Ultra Soft hits the shelves.
Our second wave of Waco releases boasts the return of the Waco Midrange. This point-and-shoot midrange was originally a centerpiece of the 2024 WACO event, with the disc available for spectators to buy and players receiving them in their player's packs. This year, we're rolling out the midrange for all!
The origins of the Waco date back to the first year of our partnership with the event and tournament director, Ryan Draper. Part of the agreement was the launch of a disc themed around the tournament. We worked with the Waco team to pick a previously unused mold that didn't quite fit our current lineup but flew well and met our quality standards. Thus, Waco Midrange was born. We classify this disc similarly to how our Collabs series is handled, so you'll find it on our flight chart, but its naming is unique to the disc. Naming it was simple, with it mirroring the event it was appointed to represent.

This 2025 launch will feature the midrange in 500 Spectrum Glimmer and 300 Fractal. Each version comes with the familiar dual-foil longhorn stamp. The reception to it was outstanding, with players loving its straight-to-stable flight. To this day, we're getting great feedback on the disc, with AJ and Deann Carey both bagging it.
This release also features the final phase of our 300 Ultra Soft rollout, as the PA-1, PA-3, and PA-5 will launch with special edition stamps and stock stamps. Prodigy Club members will also see an early prototype of this plastic in the upcoming club box.
Early reviews of 300 Ultra Soft have been outstanding. We brought this plastic to the DISC East Disc Golf Expo in January, and team members also received early access to the PA-3 in the new blend. The verdict has been clear so far: It's rare to find a plastic blend with as much grip and flex. We're excited to hear your feedback as these discs roll out!

What's Next?
Full Color
Life is better in color. Last year, we launched our Retrowave series and a handful of NHL releases, and we rolled out our Full-Color capabilities for all to see. Our releases have been on base plastics, but we're excited to show you this wonderful capability on premium blends as well. We're also working hard to make this process available for custom orders; we'll have more on that over the next couple of months.
