What is a Birdie Derby?
The Birdie Derby is a ready-to-run tournament from Prodigy Disc using three exclusive discs. It is intended to appeal to those new to disc golf, but experienced players looking for some casual competition and to try new plastic will also want to join the action.
Running a Birdie Derby is a great way to engage your local community, raise funds for your club, and discover new discs. With a suggested entry fee of only $40, it’s also the most attractive option for players looking to play a fun event.

Frequently Asked Questions
Player’s Packs are available to TDs for $22 USD and include three exclusive discs
Please allow a minimum of two weeks before your Birdie Derby for Player’s Packs to be shipped.
It’s up to each Tournament Director what type of format your Birdie Derby will be. The focus is on fun and exclusivity, and the only thing required is using the three discs included in the Birdie Derby Player’s Pack.
We suggest having a single round event with two divisions (Competitive/Casual) and a traditional scoring system to keep things as simple as possible. Similarly, choose a course or layout that is shorter in length to promote a quick pace of play and be more welcoming to new players.
Other formats you could consider: Extra Rounds, Doubles, Best Shot Singles, Safari Layout, Flex Starts. The possibilities are endless.
