Prodigy Disc is proud to announce the newest signing to its Team roster – Casey DeSmith, National Hockey League veteran and active disc golfer. DeSmith currently plays goalie for the Vancouver Canucks, having joined the team before the 2023-2024 season after five seasons with the Pittsburgh Penguins. This is the first sponsorship of an athlete or public figure outside of disc golf for Prodigy.

Ontario’s Chantel Budinsky only began playing professionally in 2021 but has quickly established herself as a force on the course. A win at the 2023 Disc Golf Pro Tour’s American Flying Disc Open solidified her place as one of the best players in the division. Chantel joined Prodigy in 2022 and earned a promotion to the Core Team for 2024. She is a must-follow on YouTube and Instagram.

The Prodigy Core Team is the highest level of professional support and sponsorship from the Georgia disc golf manufacturer, and the talented mix of touring players includes those poised to break through and skilled veterans constantly working to reach new heights. In 2024, the Core Team will feature 9 players representing 4 countries spread across 3 continents.

Ezra Robinson joined Prodigy Disc in 2016 and is currently on the Core Team, having been promoted to the top tier of support in 2021. Ezra is one of the youngest players to ever qualify for a United States Disc Golf Championship, and he won the 2023 Jim Palmeri's 50th American Flying Disc Open Disc Golf Pro Tour Silver event.

Prodigy will produce and market an exclusive range of licensed products featuring the League and all 32 team marks in Canada and the United States, including a unique and exciting line of branded discs for fans of both sports, which will see passion carry over from the rink to the course. The Prodigy Disc naming system is designed to help players determine what disc they should be considering to fill any shot they need quickly and easily. Disc model names start with a letter representing the Series of disc, followed by a number designating the disc’s stability.
